House of Vrachassi
The Folk Exhibition “House of Vrachassi” is a traditional stone-built residence which dates back to 1880. It comprises two levels and visitors learn about the way of life of the people of the village of Vrachassi and the history and folklore of the region and of eastern Crete. Many objects of daily use are on display. Its photo collection is very rich and features photos, among others, of several historical figures who took part in the Cretan struggles. The Folk Exhibition “House of Vrachassi” is a private initiative of Mrs. Maria Lembidaki – Lasithiotaki and Mrs. Aikaterini Lembidaki.
